Easy Sew Pennant Garland

I love festive, handmade touches and my flannel pennant garland is a great project even for beginner sewists.

I’m using Art Gallery Fabrics in Nesting Garden Ivory for mine. I wanted a summer, woodland theme for my daughter’s birthday. But I think this also would be fantastic in a buffalo plaid for a fall-themed party!

Curvy Log Cabin Block

With this simple project, you will learn how to cut and sewsoft improv curves, to create a fun block that is a simple log cabin but made with curves! You can make as many as you want in different color combinations, to create a quilt in any size that you want. The block that I create for this tutorial is a 12 1/2” square.

Easy Quilted Pot Holder by

Hi there! It's Fran of Cotton and Joy, and today, I have a small confession: I've had a pair of pot holders since 2010. They are my absolute favorite, but since we've had them for 14 (!) years now, they are slowly falling apart. You'd think since I sew that, I would've replaced them sooner, but I never seemed to find the time. For one, I always forgot to grab some Insul-Brite batting. Thankfully, I grabbed some last time I was in the sewing store, so here's a quick tutorial on how to make your own

Face Bandana by Laurel Ryan

Today we will make a face bandana with an orphan quilt block, If you don’t have an orphan quilt block a large print fabric would be fantastic to use. The block I am using was made for a pillow a few years back, but since the sideswere a bit wonky, it was never finished. This is a great use for those wonky blocks!
