Have just put my new machine through it's paces and I'm very happy with it! I love that it has everything I need. I don't have to run out to buy a table or special feet. The quilting package is perfect!

I purchased this beauty a little over a month ago. I have enjoyed working through the manual, it does everything so easily and well. I have made an appliance cover, 75 masks, two cute pin cushions, and more! I’m so pleased with the stitching and its fun to embellish my handiwork.

Pretty easy for beginners. Sews very well which is the most important! Needle threader works sometimes, Hard to read the right panel but main screen is good. I wanted to do monograms, it works but don't expect fancy monograms, Knee lift is awesome, don't know how we ever did without it. Magnifying glass should be on every machine, also doesn't get in the way when not using. They say you never have enough, but so many stitches make it hard to choose, don't get me wrong, love it, just hard to decide. Loading the bobbin is awesome. Lighting is very good.

This machine is a newcomer in the Sew4Home studios, but it made quite a splash with us because we kept discovering features you would normally think you'd find only on higher-end models. It comes standard with a Quilting Attachment Kit AND an extension table AND a knee lifter! Plus there are hundreds of decorative stitches, and a bunch of buttonhole options, and our favorite needle thread system. We've turned to this model again and again for everything from bags to table linens to aprons. If you want some of the most popular sewing features but need to stay within a mid-range budget, we've been very impressed with the 5300. I swear we discover something new each time we use it!

I love this machine. So many great features! I've had it for almost 3 months now, and finally got used to not using the foot pedal. I love the knee lift feature. Awesome for quilting. I love all 400 stitches. I love everything about this little machine. Talk about dynamite in a small package! It is the perfect companion to my HD300. Thank you Janome for such a beautiful machine!

Great working machine. Threader offsets easily and bends, however is replaced easily and free within warranty.
