The HD-1000 Black Edition by Janome provides super sturdy construction and easy-to-use features for a dependable and enjoyable sewing experience. Whether it be a piece of garment, accessory, or home décor item, you can create the project you have been dreaming about using the HD-1000 Black Edition's 14 built-in stitches and one four-step buttonhole. The HD-1000 Black Edition also comes with a special accessory pack, which includes the Ultra Glide Foot, Leather Needle Set, Even Feed Foot, Anna Maria Horner Decals, and a Hard Cover for the machine.

This Ultraglide Foot is molded from a special resin, allowing easier sewing of fabrics that may otherwise stick to the standard metal foot, such as leather, suede, vinyl, and plastic. The included 5-pack of Leather Needles can help make professional-looking leather projects. Use the Even Feed Foot for quilting or sewing multiple layers of fabric, a Hard Cover to store and transport your machine safely, plus Anna Maria Horner decals to decorate your machine and cover if you desire.

The HD1000BE from Janome has been so comfortable to learn on. It is smooth, powerful, consistent, and offers everything I have needed and more so far for me to do anything that I want, learning and exploring. I personally love its Black body color way. I am so excited, I just ordered the HD serger machine in the same color, I can’t wait till it arrives!!!

I bought my first Janome in or around 99-01 and it was the Limited Edition of this model. I have almost worn it out making clothes and objects for my house. I was a little surprised that it is still available as machines change from year to year. I will say this, Janome makes a solid machine and this one was forgiving for a newbie at the time!
