LOVE THIS MACHINE!!

This is a total game changer for me. I learned to sew on a treadle machine 75 years ago, and when health issues made it impossible for me to continue using my electric machine (big fancy one) I sold it and went into mourning. (exaggeration) It occurred to me that treadling a machine might work for me, since the leg action required might help with the leg swelling issues I had suffered, I went looking. Lo and behold, a modern treadle machine as used by the Amish! I bought it, found an 1901 Singer cabinet that fits it with a few alterations, and, TA DA! The machine treadles smooth as silk and even sews over some pretty heavy bumps and the leather straps on a tote I made, thanks to leg power. I'm no prepper, but I'll bet this is popular with those who are! At any rate, thank you, Janome for this great machine!
By the way, I've gotten good enough at it to take up a new hobby... free motion embroidery!
Only downside: I don't have enough hands to have fully mastered loading a bobbin. Working on it, though. I'll get there.
