If you want to send the design that is on the design screen to the Memory Craft 10000, use the Send a Design function. The Memory Craft 10000 must be on and in PC Link Mode. The USB or RS232C cablemust be connected to the Memory Craft 10000 and the computer.
The Send a Design function can be accessed two different ways. You can click Memory Craft, Send a Design...
OR
Click the Send to Machine icon.
Either way will bring up the Send Designs dialog box.
There are four possible options when using the Send Designs dialog box. The options allow you to choose both where you want your design to go and how you want to open it.
Send Design to PC Link Built-in Memory (Open Using PC Link Mode)
Only the Built-in radio button is checked.
This option, which is the default, will send the design that is on the design screen to the PC Link Built-in memory of the MC10000.
To open the design, press the PC Link Mode key to display the designs in the PC Link Built-in memory. Designs in the PC Link Built-in memory will display on the screen as thumbnail images.
Send Design to PC_Link Folder on an ATA PC Card (Open Using PC Link Mode)
With this option, you check the ATA PC Card radio button.
By checking the ATA PC Card radio button, you will send the design that is on the design screen to the PC_Link folder on an ATA PC Card that is inserted into the Memory Craft 10000.
To open the design, press the PC Link Mode key, and then press the PC Card tab to display the designs in the PC_Link folder. Designs in the PC_Link folder will display as thumbnail images on the display screen.
Send Design to Built-in Memory (Open Using Open File Mode)
With this option, you click both the Built-in radio button and the Open/Save folder box.
This option will send the design that is on the design screen to the Built-in memory of the Memory Craft 10000.
To open the design, press the Embroidery Mode key and then the Open File Mode key.
Designs in the Built-in memory will display as filenames listed in the Open File dialog box.
Send Design to EMB_FILE Folder on an ATA PC Card (Open Using Open File Mode)
With this option, you click both the ATA PC Card radio button and the Open/Save Folder box.
This option will send the design that is on the design screen to the Emb_File folder of the ATA PC Card that is inserted into Memory Craft 10000.
You access the design by first pressing the Embroidery Mode key and then the Open File Mode key to display the Open File dialog box.
Change the dialog box to point to the ATA PC Card. Designs in the Emb_File folder will display as filenames listed in the Open File dialog box.
The Name Function
If you've saved your design prior to sending it to the Memory Craft 10000, your design will be sent to the sewing machine or the ATA PC Card in the sewing machine by the name you gave it when you saved it. If you have not saved your design, the design will be sent by the name of the bitmap or clipart that was used to create the design.
However, you can change the name of the design by clicking the Name button on the Send Designs dialog box. The Jef Name dialog box will appear. You can type in a new name for the design.
Send Designs
If you want to send several designs to the Memory Craft 10000 or an ATA PC Card in the machine, use the Send Designs function. The Memory Craft 10000 must be on and in PC Link Mode. The USB or RS232C cable must be connected to the Memory Craft 10000 and the computer.
The Send Designs function is accessed by clicking Memory Craft, Send Designs...
You will bring up the Select Designs dialog box. Here you select the designs you want to send to the Memory Craft 10000 and add them to a list. The list details the directory, location, and filename of each design you want to send.
You create the list by selecting a design from a folder and clicking it. It will highlight and preview in the preview window. Click the Add button to add it to the list. If you've added a design incorrectly, you can click the Clear button to remove it from the list.
The same four possible send options are available when using the Send Designs dialog box. As described in the previous section, you can send designs to the PC Link Built-in Memory (open using PC Link Mode), the PC_LINK Folder on an ATA PC Card (open Using PC Link Mode), the Built-in Memory (open Using Open File Mode) or the Emb_File Folder on an ATA PC Card (open Using Open File Mode).
When you have chosen the location where you want to send designs, click the Send button. The Send Designs dialog box will appear, preset for your choice. Click the Start button to begin transferring designs.
Receive Designs
You can receive designs from the memories of the Memory Craft 10000, the folders of an ATA PC Card, or a Memory Craft 10000 PC Design Card and write them to a location you choose in your computer.
The Memory Craft 10000 must be on and in PC Link Mode. The USB or RS232C cable must be connected to the Memory Craft 10000 and the computer.
The Receive Designs function is accessed by clicking Memory Craft, Receive Designs...
The Receive Designs dialog box will appear.
Depending on which of the four optional locations you are pointing to, a list of designs resident in those memories will appear in the Receive Designs dialog box. The same four options that we've already discussed (Built-in Memory, PC Link Built-in Memory, Emb_File Folder on the ATA PC Card inserted into the machine or PC_Link Folder on the ATA PC Card inserted into the machine) are available in this dialog box.
There is one additional optional design source that you can use in this dialog box, PC Design Card. This option will allow you to receive designs directly from any PC Design Card inserted into the machine.
Once you have chosen where your designs are resident, you then need to choose the designs you wish to receive. Click a check mark next to specific designs, or click the Select All Designs button to receive all designs.
Choose the folder in your computer where you want the designs to be written. Click the Browse button to list the folders in your computer. Select the desired folder.
To receive the designs, click the Receive button.
Delete Designs
You can delete designs from the memories of the Memory Craft 10000 or the folders of an ATA PC Card inserted into the machine. Deleting designs will free up space, especially in the memories of the Memory Craft 10000, which can become too full with designs to accept any more.
The Memory Craft 10000 must be on and in PC Link mode. The USB or RS232C cable must be connected to the Memory Craft 10000 and the computer.
The Delete Designs function is accessed by clicking Memory Craft, Delete Designs...
The Delete Designs dialog box will appear.
