Trapunto designs become even more beautiful if the unsewn areas are outlined. That is a quick and easy addition we can make to the Pieces6 design.
Click the Display Images icon to toggle the graphic back into view.
Click the flyout arrow on the Click-to-Parallel Fill tool to see the flyout toolbar.
Click the Click-to-Outline tool, the fifth tool, to select and activate it.
Keeping the same thread color as the background fill, click in each unfilled area. Remember that the sequence you click is the sequence that the outlines will sew, so don't jump from side to side or you will create thread trails.
Note: many embroidery designers deliberately create thread trails because it allows easy access to the thread for trimming.
Note: if you prefer, you can click once on the background to create all the outlines.
To see the embroidery without the graphic behind it, click the Display Images icon to toggle it off.
