Part 1 - Introduction to Contour Fill

1. Click New icon.

2. Click on flyout triangle of Parallel Fill icon.

3. Click Parallel Contour Fill icon. Using both a series of left and right clicks create an unusual shape in the lower half of the hoop. Press Esc to end the function.

4. Now if you want to try for some very interesting visuals let's try this.

5. Ensure that the object is selected and click Reshape icon. Feel free to move some of the nodes. Normally when moving nodes you would not let them overlap. However, because of the special nature of the Contour Fill, you can achieve some wonderful effects.

6. Click Save icon. Locate your Digitizer Lessons folder. Save the file as "Contour Fill". Click Save.

Part 2 - How to Impress with Contour Fill

1. Click New icon.

2. Click Flyour triangle of Parallel Weave Fill Circle icon.

3. Click Parallel Contour Fill Circle icon. Click and drag a circle approximately 3 grids wide. Press Esc to end the function.

4. Right click than click Object Details. Increase the spacing to 2.50. However, when the slider bar appears, it only goes to 2.25. Make the spacing 2.25 and release the mouse key. Now click the up arrow on the Spacing Bpx again and set it to 2.50. Also decrease the Length to 2.50. Click OK.

5. Click to select the object. Click and drag the bottomn middle resize handle up 2 grids.

6. Click Reshape icon. Click and drag a selection box around the center nodes. Click and drag these center nodes down 7 grids below horizontal center. Press Esc to end the function.

7. Ensure that the object is selected and move it towards the top of the hoop.

8. Click Parallel Contour Fill Circle Icon. Click and drag a circle 2 grids wide. Press Esc to end the function.
9. Click to select object. Click and drag the bottom middle resize handle up 1 grid.

10. Click Reshape icon. Click and drag a selection box around the center nodes. Click and drag up 1/2 grid. Press Esc to end the function.

11. Click and drag the smaller object up until what appears to be the high point meets the bottom tip of the larger objec. How impressive is that!

12. Click save icon. Locate your Digitizer Lessons folder. Save the file as "Drinks Anyone". Click Save.
