Printing templates is a wonderful feature of EasyGigaHoop. When combined with the Clothsetter 10000, it enables exact placement of your embroidery design.
When templates are printed, a representation of the embroidery is shown along with a crosshair showing the direction the embroidery will be sewn. (Please see Technique #37 in the FAQ library for a full description of using the Clothsetter for perfect embroidery placement.)
Templates may be printed in one of two modes, Outline Template or Color Template. With Outline Template mode, you print a black and white outline of your embroidery along with the crosshair. With Color Template mode, you print a full color representation of your embroidery with the crosshair.
To set the mode of the template, click File on the Menu toolbar. Click Template Mode, the seventh entry in the drop-down menu. The two-entry Template drop-down menu will appear.
To preview an Outline Template, click Outline Template.
Click File a second time. Click Print Preview, the ninth entry in the drop-down menu.
The print preview will appear. If only one page appears, click Two Page so you can see both sides of the Giga Hoop design.
To print the templates, click Print. To close the templates, click Close.
To preview a Color Template, click File on the menu toolbar. Click Template Mode. Click Color Template.
Click File. Click Print Preview.
To print the templates, click Print. To close the templates, click Close.
Many people choose to preview their templates in full color, but print their templates in Outline Mode to save colored ink.
Note the direction of the crosshair arrows. The template on the left is marked Page 1. It is the template for the right side of the design, and its arrow is upright. The template on the right is marked Page 2. It is the template for the left side of the design, and its arrow is facing down, indicating the design is to be sewn upside-down.
