When you click the "OPEN" icon from the Standard toolbar, the Open Box will appear in the center of the screen. The "Open" box will allow you to see .jef designs that you have saved.
When you select a design, you will see a preview of the embroidery design on the right side of the preview screen, and the box will indicate which hoop size the embroidery should be sewn in.
If a graphic design has been saved with the embroidery design, the preview of the graphic design will be seen in the left preview window.
When you click the "Open" button, the embroidery design will be shown on the right side of the design screen. If a graphic design had been saved with the design, you will see it on the left side of the design screen.
If you open a .jef design that does not have a saved graphic design with it, you will get a warning box that looks like this:
You can also open a .jef design and its bitmap from the Menu Toolbar by clicking on "File, Open." The "Open" box will appear in the center of the screen.
