There are two ways to bring in a graphic design. The first way uses the Menu Toolbar. The second way uses the down arrow next to the "Open" icon.
Click "File" on the Menu Toolbar. The drop-down menu will appear. Click on the fifth entry down, "Import Clipart."
The "Import" box will appear in the center of the screen.
The "Files of type" will default to "Clipart (.wmf) and Bitmap (.bmp)." With this default, you will see all of the clipart and bitmaps in a given library. You have the option to change the file type to either clipart or bitmap.
Note: Change the "Look in:" to accesss your floppy disk or CD-ROM drives to import clipart form these sources.
When you click on and highlight a design, it will appear in the preview window if you have the "Preview" box checked.
Click the "Okay" button to import the design.
The design will be imported into the graphic design window on the left side of the design screen. The design will be sized to fit the hoop that you chose.
The second way to import a design is to use the down arrow next to the "Open" icon on the Standard Toolbar. When you click on the down arrow, you see a drop-down menu that offers several options:
When you click on the first option, "Import Bitmap (.bmp)," you will get a window that will allow you to preview and select color bitmap images. The only type of files shown are .bmp.
You may highlight a design to open it using the "Open" button or you can double-click on the design name to open it.
When you click on the second option, "Import Clipart (.wmf)," you will get a window that will allow you to preview and select color Windows metaframe images. The only files of type shown are .wmf.
