A Fun, Organized and Educational Party!
It was only 9am on Monday, April 27th when the noise level from the arboretum began
to steadily rise. Nearly 100 of Luke's Sewing Centers VIP Members and guests are gathering outside, eagerly awaiting for the doors to open and the Anita Goodesign 2015 Embroidery Party to begin!
After everyone entered, Brian Russel, the Anita Goodesign Educator introduced himself. Brian is a Creative Assistant and Author of multiple Anita Goodesign tutorials with two decades of experience. Brian shared how the artwork and creative concepts used in his tutorials are developed and built at Anita Goodesign and he showed some recent and upcoming sneak peeks of new collections.
In the Anita Goodesign marketplace, over 500 different collections of designs and five club options were offered. Many participants won a mix of designs and only one lucky guest won an entire 50 states box collection with a golden ticket.
At the event, Janome Educator Sam Fung taught Luke's VIP Members and guests. With over 15 years of experience with Janome and garment construction, Sam enjoys teaching and using multi-needle machines the most. While using the Elna eXpressive 940 machine, everyone worked on creating an embroidered kitchen towel.
Pat from Luke's truly enjoyed her experience with the eXpressive 940 embroidery machine. "It really is an amazing machine. I'm glad to have had the hands-on practice and guidance at this event. I am even more excited to be taking one home!"
This year's Anita Goodesign Embroidery Party included some friendly, but fierce competition through a Name Badge Contest. VIP Members and guests were invited to download a name badge template from Luke's homepage and design their own. Luke's congratulates five winners - Alice, Barb, Kim, Dianne and Anna.
All guests in attendance were given the royal treatment. One-on-one assistance was available throughout the entire two-day event, shopping incentives, special offers and a full lunch were also enjoyed by Members. Everyone received a limited edition Anita Goodesign gift box including a color catalog, 14 projects and 9 design collections valued at over $500.
