Central Sewing is a family business, owned and operated by Phil & Carol Marchant & their daughter Jamie Clynes.
Phil and Carol are California natives who visited the Prescott area in 2004. Much to their surprise they were captivated by the beauty, charm, and welcoming nature of the residents. Shortly after their visit, they decided to relocate to the Prescott area. Much to their delight, their daughter Jamie decided to join them.
Phil grew up in the sewing industry, as his dad Dallan Spicer owned two successful stores in the San Diego are for more than 40 years.
In San Diego, Phil was the head of their Industrial division, while Jamie offered her knowledge in the El Cajon store as a sewing machine educator and sales person. Carol takes care of the administrative side.
In 2004, with the help of his Dad, Phil was able to open his own store in Prescott, AZ. It was soon apparent that the need for a quality sewing shop was overdue in this area. Within five years they outgrew their first location in Prescott and purchased a larger building currently located at 8532 E State Route 69 in Prescott Valley, AZ.
Phil offers competitive pricing and 40+ years of service knowledge. Striving to keep an excellent level of customer service is his ultimate goal.
Jamie adds her 20 years of expertise in machine training and education, keeping up on all new products. Jamie offers creative and technique classes for those interested.
Our shop has grown quite a bit since 2004. We now have extra, knowledgeable staff on hand to help keep our level of customer service at its best. We appreciate each and every one of our clients for helping us to stay successful!
