We are excited to announce a new addition to the Janome Maker program, Shereece Nicole of @sewhookedontreasures ! She started quilting in 2010 when she moved to a small town in Missouri. She became inspired to design her own quilt patterns during her travels while living in Germany. Now, she and her 2 children live in Eastern Georgia, which you may have seen in the Georgia edition of @quiltfolk.
Her goal is to help busy quilters maximize their sewing time by providing modern, relatively quick patterns and time saving tips so you can turn off your sewing machine feeling accomplished. The ample negative space in many designs is perfect for those that enjoy free motion quilting. If you like to have throw pillows that coordinate with your throw quilts, many of the patterns have large blocks or a corresponding pillow cover pattern.
She`s had patterns published in magazines, such as @makemodernmagazine and Quick & Easy Quilts by @fonsandporter. You may have attended one of her classes at @aqsonline Quilt Week in Paducah or @quiltfest Virtual Schoolhouse.
She`s going to be bringing quilts and quilt adjacent projects to you sewn on the Horizon Memory Craft 9140QC. If you already know her, this won`t come as a surprise because of the color. However, the throat on this machine makes quilting on a domestic a dream.
