Easter Egg Garland
It's time to make Easter decorations.
Get a jump on your Easter decorations by creating this adorable holiday swag. One can make as many or as few as needed.
Our Janome Educator, Valora Hammond, has designed and created this great Easter project for us to share with you. This project can be used for several applications. If you make and connect three eggs, you will have a cute door decoration. Make a bunch of eggs and you will have enough to create a swag for your mantle. Or a whole mantle can be adorned with a swag made of a multitude of eggs. And just one egg makes a great gift as a door knob decoration.
This project uses a Janome Memory Craft machine and digitizer MBX software. We’ve included step by step instructions with pictures to guide you through this project.
New Product: Oversized Buttonhole Foot
In fashion, sometimes bigger is better, and buttons are no exception! This new buttonhole foot allows you to make a statement by adding oversized and exotic buttons to accent your garments.
Extra-large buttons are an ongoing trend in clothing but the standard buttonhole foot can't accommodate buttons over an inch long. The most common use for large buttons is on heavy winter coats, but this year you can see the trend in spring and summer garments, too. You could use it on rain coats, spring trench coats, or for closures on beach cover ups. Don't forget, if you're using an extra-large button, not only will the buttonhole need to be longer, but likely you'll have a longer button shank. Some machines come with a Button Shank Plate standard that you'll want to use to make sure your shank is long enough.
The new Oversized Buttonhole Foot and Stabilizer Plate can create buttonholes for buttons that are 1" - 2" (25-50mm) in diameter. It can be used on the Horizon Memory Craft 15000.
