30 Years with Janome
The Fabric Garden Celebrates their 30th year as a Janome Dealer
This May marks the 30th year that The Fabric Garden in Madison, Maine, has been an authorized Janome Dealer. To celebrate this great accomplishment we asked Michaela (Kala) Murphy and Celia Murphy to share some of their thoughts looking back over the past 30 years.
"My mother and my aunt instilled the love of both sewing and fabric. Nurturing that love led me to a career in this business where we try to instill both of those into each and every customer. This is a business that has been a love of mine for a long time."
The Fabric Garden located at 167 Lakewood Road (Route 201) in Madison, Maine. They have been a loyal Janome dealer for 30 years and has attained numerous awards in the Janome America Steps to Success Program. The Fabric Garden is open 7 days a week to provide support to their Janome customers, and a staff with over 250 years combined sewing and quilting experience to offer advice on projects of all skill levels.

New Product: LED Light
Our popular LED light in two sizes!
Sometimes your extra-detailed work needs a little extra illumination. The Super Bright LED Compact light affixes to the underside of your sewing machine’s arm and casts a bright light onto your entire sewing project.
The light can be powered by the machine’s USB hub or a traditional outlet and the velcro backing and cord guide keeps the cable neat and organized. Finally you’ll have access to extra light without having to maneuver a desk lamp around your machine and sewing project. The Super Bright LED Compact measures just 2 1/2 inches, allowing it to fit on any model.
Super Bright Compact LED: 2 1/2 inches
Super Bright LED: 4 1/2 inches
Visit your local Janome dealer to purchase these great lights.
Hedgie Pin Cushion
Make a softie hedgehog that can be a toy or a pin cushion!
This project is brought to you by Sam Hunter of Hunter's Design Studio.
Did you know you should change your sewing machine needle regularly? It's as important as changing the oil in your car. A dull needle can ruin your fabric, but it also makes your machine work harder than it needs to. Sam changes needles after every 8-10 hours of sewing.
If you don't like to dispose of your old needles in the trashbecaquse it might hurt someone. Make one of these hedgehogs and put all of your dead needles into an old pincushion. This design is fun because the used needles become part of the design. A hedgehog is the perfect needle-y critter!

Easter Egg Garland
It's time to make Easter decorations.
Get a jump on your Easter decorations by creating this adorable holiday swag. One can make as many or as few as needed.
Our Janome Educator, Valora Hammond, has designed and created this great Easter project for us to share with you. This project can be used for several applications. If you make and connect three eggs, you will have a cute door decoration. Make a bunch of eggs and you will have enough to create a swag for your mantle. Or a whole mantle can be adorned with a swag made of a multitude of eggs. And just one egg makes a great gift as a door knob decoration.
This project uses a Janome Memory Craft machine and digitizer MBX software. We’ve included step by step instructions with pictures to guide you through this project.
