Supplies
1/2 yd of silk dupioni
1/2 yd of cotton flannel
Three 5/8” buttons
All purpose, embroidery and bobbin thread
Stabilizer
16” down pillow form
Framed monogram embroidery design, 8” x 8”
Monogram of choice

Cutting Instructions:
From silk dupioni, cut one 16” square and two 10 1/2” x 16” rectangles
From cotton flannel, cut one 16” square

Embroidery Instructions:
Baste the square of silk dupioni to the square of cotton flannel, keeping the line of stitching within the 1/2” seam allowance. Mark the center of the square. Hoop the fabric with stabilizer, centering the placement mark in the hoop. Embroider the monogram frame. Without removing the hoop from the machine, select a three letter monogram of your choice, and embroider it in the center of the frame. When embroidery is complete, remove the excess stabilizer, and press from the wrong side.

Assembly:
For each of the 10 1/2” x 16” rectangles: Fold and press under 1” along one 16” side. Fold and press under 1” a second time to create a 1” double hem. Top stitch hem in place, and edge stitch along fold. Make three buttonholes evenly spaced along the hem of one panel. Overlap the panels with the buttonholes on top, aligning the hems. Baste. Place the embroidered square over the panels, with right sides together. Sew around the square with a 1/2” seam, overlapping the start and finish. Trim the corners of the square, and turn right side out, Insert pillow form. Sew the buttons to match the placement of the buttonholes.

Enjoy!
