This email from Janome has the most beautiful monogramed pillow. I just completed it and it is just stunning. I can't find the pattern on the Janome project site, but it came in the email on 11-3- 2009 from Janome [alerts@janome-america.com]. It stitches out perfectly and I used my janome 11000 to monogram an initial in the center.

I am going to monogram some bath towels for gifts. I will use a single initial and am try to decide on how large it should be. I do not want it to be too small, but also not too large and to be tasteful. "All the monogram letters are satin stitched and it seems the treads will catch and pull on a larger letter. Have you used another fill that was not too bulky? Thanks for all advise.

I have a Janome 300e which I have not had any trouble with until now. The bottom thread is making HUGE loops and using a ton of my top thread. I haven't changed any settings and I'm using the same thread that I've always used. I also have a newly wound bobbin and I know I have it inserted properly. Any ideas?? I don't want to ruin these dresses that I'm monogramming!! Thank you so much for any help you can give.

Jennifer

Rolled hem foot ?

Howdy, This is my first post on this site & I'm excited to be here. I just purchased a Janome Magnolia 7330 one month ago & I'm loving it. I do quite a lot of quilting & other sewing projects.

I make pillow cases for an organization called The Patriotic Pillow Project & was wondering about the rolled hem foot. The pillow cases do not have a finished border on the bottom & I have to finish the bottom with a hem so it won't ravel. Since I make between 25 & 50 cases a month I was thinking a hemmer would really help me out. Does this type hemmer fold the fabric over twice so there is no exposed raw edge at all? Does anyone know if this is what I would need to make that hem or is there some other hemmer that would be better?

Thanks for your help.

quiltster
