Hello all,

I am having a bit of trouble and it has caused more than enough headaches. I bought a new MB-4 and Digitizer Jr software a month ago and so far have been somewhat impressed with how things have worked. I have a new business and decided to go ahead and order the upgrade from Sewvacdirect.com to upgrade from Jr to MB 3.0. I paid the $999 dollars and received the upgrade kit in the mail, it came with Digitizer MB upgrade CD and an instruction manual. I installed the software using my old dongle (the upgrade doesn't come with another one) and it appeared to install correctly. At first it installed version 3.0D, but it didn't work at all. I then found a patch on the Janome web site to upgrade to 3.0K thinking it might fix it. When I start it up with version K it acts like MB is starting up and then the last second I get a Digitizer Jr Splash screen show up and tada I get Digitizer Jr instead of MB to come up... what? lol. The only thing I can think it would be is I need to get an access key which it says it needs to upgrade from Jr to MB, but there is no instruction anywhere on the net on how to do so. I saw an option in Jr to add access keys and even saw a form to fill out to order an access key, but there is no direction on where to send it or anything? I called Sewvacdirect.com and so far they have not been able to help me much. Does anyone know how I get this new access code so I can finally use MB instead of Jr? I find that Janome's technical support is quite poor as they have not responded to any of my phone calls in two days. I will soon add a section to my website for tutorials for things like this. It is quite frusterating.

Thanks in advance.
Benjamin

My memory craft 6500 is sewing loud and I can't see anywhere to oil it, plus no oil came with the machine like my past singer. I've had this machine about 2 years. If anyone knows where to oil this machine please let me know. Plus the stitches are skipping, but I think I just need to change my needle...I hope.

thank you

My girlfriend is a single mom and lost her job. She is having a very difficult time and may lose her house. She does have an embroidery machine and does sew quite well. Does anyone have suggestions for items she could make inexpensively to sell at a christmas craft show to make a little money? Please send any ideas and I will help her get started with it. I know she is very depressed and a project would be very good for her spirit. Thank you all

Hi! I am sewing a very soft jacquard ribbon to velvet (think pretty side out of ribbon and velvet side out) to make headbands. When I do it, the ribbon starts to pucker and I mean really bad pucker! The heavier jaquards/stiffer ones work like a charm, but the softer ones w/the thread showing on the underside are awful! I don't know if it is my needle, my tension or what? I am using a Janome MC 9700. Setting on auto for tension and 3 for foot pressure control and using a 65/9 universal needle.

Thanks for reading - I need help!!

Is there a method to secure the ends of 1/4 inch wide Offray ribbon to prevent fraying? The ribbon is being used as a tie on a craft project. I have most of the Janome feet, and have tried several. I have also tried using the straight stitch plate.
