Software Lessons

My Graphic Image Is Not A Bitmap

This lesson requires the use of the Windows 98/2000 Microsoft Paint program, with the ability to read graphic images in .jpg format.

What you'll learn
This lesson requires the use of the Windows 98/2000 Microsoft Paint program, with the ability to read graphic images in .jpg format. If your version of Paint can't open .jpg images, you'll need to get an image editing program that can, for instance, PaintShop Pro.

The instructions will specify Windows 2000, but these can also be used by Windows 98 users.
EasyImport will open graphic images in two formats, .bmp (bitmap) and .wmf (windows metafile).
Image
Occasionally, you will have a graphic image that is in another format. You can easily convert your graphic image to bring into EasyImport using a graphics program, such as Microsoft(r) Paint.
We will create a graphic image in a different format by using the Microsoft(r) Paint program that comes with the Windows operating system. We will open a bitmap that comes with Customizer 10000. We will save it in .jpg format and close Microsoft_ Paint.
Then, to simulate using a graphic image in a different format, we will re-open Microsoft(r) Paint and bring in the graphic image we just saved. Finally, we will bring it into Customizer 10000 EasyImport.
For the purposes of this lesson, we are using a black and white outlined image. This process is not limited to this type of graphic. You can use color graphics, as well.
