Select any decorative or straight stitch on your Janome sewing machine, and with the Circular Sewing Attachment, you can use that stitch to sew in a perfect circle, up to 10" in diameter. It works kind of like a record player. You put your stabilized fabric on a sharp spindle and it rotates as you sew.
There's an attachment for most newer models, such as the Memory Craft 11000 Special Edition and the new 3160QDC, and another attachment for for slightly older Janome models.
With the Circular Sewing Attachment you can sew a big circle and then nest a series of smaller circles inside of it. Or you could sew a circle with one stitch and then add another stitch right along the edge. It's a popular attachment for quilters because a quilt square is just the right size to easily rotate. But the possibilities for other kinds of projects are endless.
