Designer Note: I always wanted to live in Stars Hollow and be friends with Rory and Lorelia. We’d drink coffee, talk fast, and have smart conversations with each other as we walked around the town and stopped into Luke’s Diner for a slice of pie. However, since I can’t think as fast as they talk, I’ll just be an honorary Gilmore Girl and make this pillow for my chair as a reminder of my fictional friends and admire it as I drink my coffee (okay, okay, Diet Coke) at home.

We always love to hear where our machines end up and this time is no exception! Fay Nicoll, the owner of Sunshine Sewing Company in Margate, FL has been a Janome dealer for 20 years.

During this time she's taught quilters of all levels, designed patterns, and even created a new wedge ruler.

In March 2017 Fay hosted a 12-day quilt cruise. Sunshine Sewing shipped in the Janome 4120 QDC machine and the students loved them! Fay's husband, Richard, was the on-board technician for the machines. He was happy to report that he got a 12 day vacation due to the fact that all the machines worked very well and he never even had to unpack his tools.

The students really made some great projects on their Janome machines!

With spring in the air, it’s a great time to load up a quilted tote with your favorite books or notebooks and head out to the park.  Sometimes it seems like those taller books and notebooks just don’t fit so well into a regular tote you might have lying around.  Whip up this quick project with your Horizon Memory Craft 8900QCP to make a unique reversible tote that can easily transition from winter to spring!

Find the full downloadable instructions on the project page here.
