New Project: Travel Series By Amy Meek - Shoe Bag
Dirty shoes and clean clothes don't mix.
Problem: You need to bring along several pairs of shoes when you're traveling. But you don't want the dirty soles of your favorite walking shoes smudging your clean clothes.
Solution: This handy shoe bag. Make it from any woven fabric (or even nylon if you want it to be moisture-proof) and you can safely tuck your shoes inside before putting them in your suitcase.
Amy Meek's Shoe Bag Project is part of her Travel Series of easy sewing projects that are extremely useful if you're going on a trip. You can make the shoe bag in about an hour with beginner skills, using any Janome sewing machine.
Even when you're not traveling, you can use your shoe bag to keep your dress shoes from getting dusty in the closet, or for bringing home especially dirty shoes after a camping trip.
