Live From AQS in Paducah, KY
Quilt City USA - and Janome - welcomes quilters from across the country!
The American Quilter's Society held its first quilt show and contest in Paducah, KY in 1985. In its first year, it welcomed 5,000 visitors. Since then, the show has grown and multiplied to other US cities, but its true home is in Paducah, aka: Quilt City, USA, where the yearly event is considered the premiere quilting show in the country.
Janome is here with quilters from around the country to celebrate great quilts, learn tips and techniques from world-class quilt instructors for making our own quilts better, and to see all of the amazing products available for, well, quilting!
The show includes a huge selection of vendors showcasing a wide variety of products for quilting and sewing. Classes are first-rate, with topics from hand-work, to free-form quilting, to traditional techniques. And the quilt gallery on the show floor features breathtaking quilts for inspiration. Attendees are delighted to sew on classrooms full of Memory Craft 11000's, Horizon 7700QCP, and 3160QDC sewing machines.
If you love quilting, Paducah is worth the trip! Find out more about this, and all of the AQS quilt shows at their website. Find one near you, and make a plan to attend. In the meantime, be sure to become a member of this worthy organization.
Janome is proud to sponsor the prestigious Best in Show Award, given this year to Sue McCarty for her masterpiece, Harmony within.
